EnerKnol recently held New York Energy Week, a series of events held all across New York City. The event helps foster cross-sector collaboration for long-term partnerships and support investment and collaboration among the diverse sectors of the energy industry. ThermoLift had the opportunity to attend events focused on natural gas investment, the smart grid infrastructure, emerging energy technologies, and consumer behavior.
This year, over 150 North American natural gas utility representatives attended ESC’s Annual National Account Customer Workshop. ThermoLift had the opportunity to network with several of the natural gas industry’s leading suppliers, and attend workshops dedicated to facilitating the exchange of information between companies, suppliers, and customers. Workshop topics included natural gas supply projections, equipment rebates, recent utility sponsored customer programs, and equipment installations.
ThermoLift CEO Paul Schwartz recently traveled to Brussels to participate in the 8th Annual European Heat Pump Forum, hosted by the European Heat Pump Association. This year’s event explored the possibilities that heat pumps offer to contribute to the objectives of the ‘Energy Union’, as the concept is currently being discussed by European policy-makers. With this respect, a special focus was given to large applications and their application potential in Europe.
ThermoLift recently traveled to Vienna, Virginia to take part in The US Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office (BTO) Third Annual Peer Review this past week. The review comprised of many of BTO’s research, development, demonstration, and deployment projects. Industry experts evaluated the progress and contributions of each project toward BTO’s mission and goals. These assessments will be used to enhance the management of existing efforts, gauge the effectiveness of projects, and design future programs.
Energy Solutions Center, Inc. (ESC) is a non-profit organization of energy utilities and equipment manufacturers that promotes energy efficient natural gas solutions and systems for use by residential, commercial, and industrial energy users. Technology & Market Assessment Forums (TMAF) are the most highly prized deliverable of the Center, serving as the primary training and education event for gas utility marketing, sales, and customer support representatives from throughout North America.

The event taps into new opportunities and generates innovative alliances between the tremendous creativity, talent, and innovation of start-up companies and the resources of venture capitals needed to become tomorrow’s successful employers.The New York Innovation Showcase is a dynamic, hands-on event that complements the investment and opportunity strategies and successes of Governor Cuomo’s Innovation Agenda.
ThermoLift had the unique opportunity to attend and exhibit our technology at the 2015 ARPA-E Energy Innovation Summit. The event brings together the very best minds in business, academia, and government to advance cutting-edge technologies that could fundamentally change the way we generate, use, and store energy. At the Summit, members of the ThermoLift team were able to connect with government entities and private-sector businesses to discuss the development and application of the ThermoLift technology.
youngStartup Ventures recently hosted the 9th annual New England Venture Summit, and ThermoLift had the pleasure of attending various forums, presentations, and networking events. The Summit is a premier industry gathering of venture capitalists, angel investors, technology transfer professionals, senior executives of early stage and emerging growth companies, university researchers, and service providers.
ThermoLift has been selected as a winner of the 2014 Defense Energy Technology Challenge, awarded at the Defense Energy Innovation Summit and Showcase. The Summit focuses on uniting emerging energy companies and defense leadership to discuss global innovation ideas. The mission is to help accelerate state-of-art technology solutions in support of national security and the warfighter.
At the 2015 Clean Tech Open Northeast Finals, ThermoLift was presented the Audience Choice Award, after receiving the most votes from the live audience. More than 300 people from across the region, including entrepreneurs, business leaders and public officials attended the event, which was held October 28th at the Boston University School of Management. The Clean Tech Open is a national competition aimed at connecting cleantech startups with the people and resources that will accelerate their success, and provide a national platform for public visibility.
